When It Rains…

Tonight, there’s standstill in the metro. This is the life of every Filipinos in the metro. When it rains, it pours. And when it pours in Metro Manila, we roll our eyes, take a deep breath, hope against all hope that we can make it to wherever we wanna go with our sanity intact. It doesn’t matter whether you drive, you take the bus, or the jeepneys, we’re all on the same boat – sometimes literally we wish we’re on a boat instead so we can cross the flooded streets! Maybe those who take the train have it better but the MRT has been stopping every now and then, and there are not enough coaches to accommodate the commuting populace – nothing seems to work right with the DOTC! The road is crazy. The tracks do not deliver. What a chaotic place we live in. And it doesn’t help that a lot of us Filipinos have no respect and consideration for the others and goodness, do we ever know the word discipline, spell it nga?! A lot of us will be ending this day dead tired, some irritated, some maybe numb already of this scenario being played over and over again… still let’s hope tomorrow will be better.

Good night… Zzz…
